Yardbird Table & Bar is a great restaurant for an intimate birthday dinner or a super cute date night. I visited Yardbird twice for a birthday brunch and dinner. The atmosphere is sleek and chic and the cuisine is southern comfort; there’s also a full bar.
I’ve been to Yardbird during the day to attend a birthday brunch for a friend and I really enjoyed the vibe, but the night vibe at Yardbird is so sexy! The lighting and ambiance are intimate and cozy. There is a nice sized patio for dining, and the inside is spacious for large reservations. The restaurant also offers valet parking, so you don’t have to worry about finding parking if you’re in a hurry or just don’t feel like it.

Where is Yardbird Table & Bar Located
Yardbird is located in Dallas, Texas in the Arts District. It’s located right across the street from the popular Klyde Warren Park. You can actually see the park while sitting in Yardbird’s patio area. There are other surrounding restaurants, museums, and attractions; so, if you’re looking for a place to go with other hot spots nearby, Yardbird Table & Bar would be a great place.
The Menu: Here’s What We Ordered
I can only remember what I had for dinner at Yardbird, and that was steak frites (bistro steak & chimichurri). I was out for a friend’s birthday and the steak frites was a decent meal, but I’ve had better elsewhere. The portion size was small and for $34, I felt they should have provided a larger portion. I wouldn’t recommend the steak frites, but looking around the table at my friends’ plates, their food looked delicious, and the portions were generous.
Here’s What My Friends Ordered
Shrimp & Grits – $34
seared shrimp, roasted tomatoes, Virginia ham, red onions, Nora Mill grits, PBR jus
Sweet Tea Braised Short Rib – $42
Mashed potatoes, roasted field vegetables
Lewellyn’s Fine Fried Chicken – $33
1⁄2 of Yardbird’s famous bird served with honey hot sauce
Crispy Brussels – $14
w/spiced honey
I would definitely revisit Yardbird Table & Bar. There’s a variety of options on the menu and I want to try them out. I was eyeing the mac & cheese and the shrimp and grits, so next time it’s on and poppin! If you’re ever in the area, give it a try and see if it’s your jam!
