Whistle Britches is the perfect spot to dine and have drinks with friends. The other weekend, my friend Chichi and I had lunch at Whistle Britches; it was my second time dining here. They have delicious chicken and biscuits and this time around I opted for a margarita, which was the best I’ve had since moving to Texas. I’m a sucker for sweet, alcoholic beverages, so this margarita was right up my alley.
The atmosphere is family friendly and there is seating inside and outside. In true Dallas fashion, Whistle Britches has an outside patio for dining, which is where Chichi and I sat. It was hot that day, but the breeze cooled us down as we talked about life and laughed in between jokes. The sun became a little too much to handle, so our server let down the patio shades, which made our experience so much more comfortable.
Speaking of servers, our servers were super attentive and checked in on our table frequently to see if we had all of our necessities. They were friendly and quick when delivering our order to the table.

Where is Whistle Britches Located?
The Whistle Britches we visited is located in Plano, Texas. It’s located in The Shops at Willow Bend, which is basically a mall. I prefer this location because after dining you can walk around and do a little shopping, which is exactly what Chichi and I did.
The Biscuits are AMAZING!

If you’re into eating a southern breakfast or brunch, go to Whistle Britches. I believe their biscuits are the shining star of their menu. Chichi had a biscuit on the side of her cobb salad, and when her biscuit came out to the table, I immediately regretted not ordering one. She and I had brunch at a different restaurant and I complained about how hard the biscuits were, but she gave me a nod of approval to let me know Whistle Britches’ biscuits were HITTIN!
The Menu
Before you come for me, I’m working on taking pictures of my food before devouring it, so please forgive the lack of food photos. On this day, I wanted to eat something healthy, so I opted for a few fried green tomatoes and a cobb salad. Honestly, I’m not the biggest fan of blue cheese, but the salad overall was delicious, and the fried green tomatoes were even better. That’s the southern girl in me!
My Order & Money Spent
Fried Green Tomatoes $9
Cobb Salad $15
Mango Margarita – $11
Total – $35
I’d say that Whistle Britches is one of a few restaurants I’ve been to where I’ve wanted to try everything on the menu. It was extremely difficult to choose a meal because everything on the menu seemed so delicious. From tacos and fried chicken to sticky chicken wings and macaroni, the options were plentiful. I’ll definitely be back when I’m not trying to eat healthy and I’m going straight for the mac and cheese.
If you’re ever in the area, give Whistle Britches a try. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time because spots fill up quickly. I’m sure you’ll love it!
If you’ve been here before, how was your experience?
Yum! That margarita looks SO good and I’m a sucker for fried green tomatoes and biscuits. I will definitely have to try it next time I’m in the area.
