Sunday Fun-Day is a thing here in Dallas, and it almost always starts with brunch. Before moving to Dallas, I was never really into brunch, but once I realized it was a social event that brought all of my friends together for good conversation, laughs, and good eats, I quickly adjusted.
Brunch Time!
My friend Chichi invited me to brunch at this cute and elegant spot called Elm & Good. It’s located in a popular neighborhood in Dallas, known as Deep Ellum. Deep Ellum is home to many art-based and creative businesses, including tattoo shops, photography, music studios, and more. It’s the hot spot for restaurants, live music, day parties, and retail shopping.
Upon arriving to Elm & Good, I was greeted by a valet attendant. I get anxious when I go to places that have sketchy parking, so I was super relieved to see a valet service. The restaurant is attached to The Pittman Hotel, so you have to walk through the hotel’s lobby to reach the restaurant’s entrance.

Food & Music & Mimosas = Happiness
When entering the restaurant, I was greeted with live music, as a lady with a guitar sang quite beautifully while guests enjoyed their meals. I was excited to see they had a full bar, and I knew I’d be ordering a mimosa to start. I kept it simple and ordered the American breakfast, which came with bacon, eggs, toast, and hashbrowns. The menu offered other tasty selections like the blueberry buttermilk pancakes and the brisket hash. Chichi ordered the blueberry pancakes, and they were bomb!

The Vibe
The ambiance was personal. The tables were assembled in a way that allowed privacy when speaking with people at your table. The live music wasn’t overbearing or obnoxious. You could tell that the vibe was perfectly thought out and that the customer’s overall experience was taken into consideration. The restaurant was bright and lively, as there were many big windows to let in tons of natural light. The service was great as our waiter made sure our glasses were full and our food was delicious.
The Price
American Breakfast | $14.00
Glass of Mimosa | $12.00
Total | $26.00
I look forward to revisiting Elm & Good and introducing a few more friends to the place. I’m sure they’d love it too. It’s a great place to start your weekend or Sunday morning. If you’re looking for chill vibes and great food, this is the place to be. Don’t forget to validate your parking before leaving!
